Recreation District #1 of St. Tammany Parish
Course Summary
I recently had the chance to play at the Recreation District #1 of St. Tammany Parish in Mandeville, Louisiana, and I have to say, it’s a fantastic spot for disc golf! The course is well-maintained and offers a great mix of challenges that keep you engaged throughout your round. The layout is thoughtfully designed, making it enjoyable for both beginners and seasoned players alike.
One of the highlights for me was the beautiful scenery that surrounds the course. The natural landscape adds an extra layer of enjoyment as you make your way from hole to hole. Plus, the community vibe is welcoming, which is always a plus when you're looking to connect with fellow disc golfers.
Overall, with a solid rating and positive atmosphere, this course is definitely worth a visit. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills or simply enjoy a day out in nature, Recreation District #1 offers a delightful experience that I can’t wait to return to!

Disc Golf Review. Horrible Layout/Confusing Course. Had to Quit due to Fire Ants Attacking. Free Parking Dog Friendly (Aligator Warning). Overall Horrible Disc Golf Experience!

There are 3 different hiking trails in Pelican Park. I did the Nature Trail and the Clubhouse Trail, and they were beautiful. Update: Castine Center which holds many shows and community activities, two dog parks, baseball and soccer leagues are held at the park as well. Additionally there is a disc golf course!

One of the best outdoor areas on the north shore for people and fur pets of all ages. It has accomodations for major sports and exercise, except tennis. Tennis would make it perfect. I like the new outdoor exercise and game areas..

My kids play soccer, basketball & baseball at this great park. Our dogs love the dog park and we enjoy the skate park as well. They have a nice track to exercise

This is a great park with many available activities. Additionally, that have plans to continue to expand the facilities to support many other activities.
